News & Veiws

Just sitting here in front of my puter...pondering...thinking...and wanting to thank everyone who has sent me words of encouragement & care.
A family member recently had a cancer scare which resulted in much worry & anxiety...after additional biopsy's the doctor has given us an all clear & we now have reason to celebrate!
Needless to say I haven't been very productive in the art department lately & will probably take the summer off from listing any pieces. I know if I force myself to create my art will suffer & my heart will not be in my work...& that is so very important to me...that each person receives a piece that is filled with joy & represents all that I love. I would be lying if I didn't tell you how disappointed I am at this time...I so wanted to be productive & give my best to you...the only thing I enjoy doing right now is my rug hooking as it brings me comfort in repetition and quiet moments.
My goal this summer is to do some soul work, get my health back on track & come back in the fall good as new with lots to share & new designs to tickle your fancy.
I will continue posting on my blog through out the summer but just not as often...I am going on a girlfriend trip shortly & then will head up to our little cabin to spend time with family.
I leave you with a little quote

"Things do not always go according to plan evokes the archetype of synchronicity, which reveals itself in a felt meaningful coincidence. To say yes to this given is to trust that the universe has a plan for us and that things are unfolding in this life just in time for us to grow into the beings we were meant to be"

Susan, I do hope you are feeling better...this year has been such a struggle, with a lot of issues stopping the creative flow. I look at my rabbits and think of you often, they are made with much love and I am thankful we met and I have your creations!!
I was just showing them to friends the other day and then I felt so proud as I pulled out the Prims magazine, needless to say they were in awe!!! I am so proud of you!!! Everyone agreed that your work is fabulous!!!
I haven't been inspired to do much lately...I have been stitching and needle punching and knitting, but not creating. Hopefully a change is in the air and I will find the spark I need to create again!
Hugs,
Margaret B

Hi, I follow you and your work as I love it and I'm sure that there is a plan also,, I have traveled down many roads and some have been very difficult, take you time to heal and reflect, I know from experience that you will come out on the other side wiser, better and full of creativity. If you haven't read "Gifts From the Sea" by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, you may enjoy it, it was given to me at a time in my life when things were uncertain and difficult, filled with pain. What a wonderful book to read. Blessings

I know how you are feeling, I am in the same place, right now. I have been doing stitcheries to keep my hands busy, but until I get my head on straight and work on my health, I am taking it easy on my things.
Sometimes we have to take care of ourselves and then we can share of joy and creations with others.

Praising God that your family member got the all clear! :-) I hope that you are able to rest and rejuvenate this summer, Susan. I understand the need to do that! Recently, I've come out of a many-years-long hibernation and am making my bears again. I also hope that you take care of yourself health-wise. You probably know, too, that we're all here when you need a little chat. Feel free to e-mail, even. Blessings and bear hugs to you!

Susan, try to enjoy your summer without stress and worry. We all need some "ME" time and it's good for the soul. Relax and have a ton of fun at the cabin and on your girl's outing. Know that there are many thinking of you and that you are in my prayers.

Hi Susan,
I haven't had much time to keep up with the blogs I enjoy, but I'm sorry you are struggling. Rest and relaxation are the best you can do for yourself right now. Looking forward to seeing more wonderful creations in the fall. Enjoy your summer!

hugs,

Brenda
