Nervous Ned
Good morning....Need your help...I just finished making this wee guy last night... I
think he looks like an Opossum...or does he look like a rat? I have posted a link for you to check out...it's a gallery of possum photos that I used as my reference pics for creating this guy. You won't hurt my feelings if you say he looks more like a rat. Thought it would be fun to hear your thoughts & it would help me next time I want to make one of these critters. One last thing...do you think I should put him on a tuffet/cushion some type of stand or should I leave him as is? Thanks for your help & have a great day! Susan

He definitely has that opossum face SuzieQ~ He's so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a Possum to me. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable, it's really hard to say though. he needs a tuffet, maybe a chef's hat? Oh dear then that would be like the guy in the movie ratatouille, wait I think he's a mouse, oh wait, maybe...... sorry i think I'm confused.....
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!!
Hugs,
Margaret B
Hello Susan--wow, he looks great--but, he does sort of have a rattish look about him--although the paws are definitely opposum! I might let you know what might make the difference...
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in the Florida, there were TONS of these guys, and my mama always said they DID look like giant rats...but...they have those sharp white guard-type hairs about their body, especially their backs..so don't know if you want to do it, but you may want to add some "fuzziness" to him ? I think it would definitely differentiate him and maybe stop the confusion of what he might be.
You definitely are spot on about his head and "hands" though!
O'possum! And O'cute!
ReplyDeleteHe is really quite wonderful and I adore his little face!
ReplyDeleteNervous Ned is most definitely a rat though. His fur is not nearly course enough to be a possum (which love to walk along my backyard fence!).
I don't think you should worry about calling him opposum or rat, just call him adorable and be done with it! I wish I could call him to come over to my house. He's awesome!
